GLOBE Claritas Release Version 5.1

We have added several new features to optimise Claritas for industrial processing workflows, building on our existing flexibility and ease of use. These features have been developed and tested in collaboration with the largescale industrial processing houses that use Claritas, which means that they fit around your workflows and are aimed at increasing the efficiency of your processing teams.

  • Addition of dynamic trace header support for increased functionality.
  • A new project/data management layer for improved efficiency.
  • 18 new modules, including Surface related multiple suppression and 3D marine geometry setup.

Dynamic Trace Headers

Using dynamic trace headers is a powerful tool for staying efficient in your processing flow. With our new dynamic, extendable trace headers you can easily compare input and output in complex workflows, which is great for QC and great for 3D and multicomponent processing. In Claritas, there is no limit to the number of header entries. You can use user-defined headers anywhere and the headers are automatically picked up by a range of modules. This lets you easily store useful metadata such as AGC scalars and velocity traces, and these can be stored transiently or saved out to disc. And you can view this metadata overlapped with the seismic data.

Data Management Layer

Our new data management layer (DML) allows you to run large industrial seismic processing projects efficiently. Claritas does not use an underlying database; instead, we have a flexible database functionality through the DML- without the overhead. You can create, move, back-up and restore projects. The DML lets you automatically store jobs, support files and data. And you can select your working project from a pull-down list, and change at any time. The DML is easily adaptable, fitting to your corporate data structure and workflows, and keeping multiple users and multiple projects organized.

New Processing Modules

Claritas is continually evolving, driven by our active user groups. With the need for increasing efficiency and flexibility for industrial data processing on large datasets, we have added 18 new processing modules to version 5. These include several new SRME options and an improved marine geometry setup. We have also made tweaks to the useability of many of our applications, editors and utilities. All of these are designed to speed up your workflows and to ensure that the software is not placing any constraints on the geophysicist.

GLOBE Claritas on Windows

GLOBE Claritas is now supported for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP, for both site and single-user licences.

In 2002 we turbocharged processing and testing by adding the JCS batch control system, but this still focussed on using a single workstation. Now we’ve added MPI-based parallel processing and links to the Torque queuing system so that you can utilise the full power of your computer network in testing and production runs. You can even run your own modules in parallel, as well as those that we supply.

Key to the success of GLOBE Claritas is the fact that our software designers and developers are also seismic processors, ensuring a user-focus that is second to none. The software is also designed to fit into your environment - with no complex database or fixed file structure to prevent flexibility of use. In fact, it is more like a Seismic Operating System than a conventional software package.

If you are looking for a robust and well developed seismic processing system to underpin your specialist geophysics or seismic processing business, GLOBE Claritas is the cost effective solution you need.
