Marijke and Keleigh Rescue Duckling - 11 September 2012
Marijke and Keleigh rescued a baby duckling and his mum on Tuesday afternoon after seeing they were being attacked by other ducks just outside our office.

The ducks had made their way to GNS Science from the nearby duck pond in Avalon Park and we brought the two inside. Although everyone in the office would love having two resident ducks, a better home had to be found.
Criag Sheperd, The Duck Man and his wife Julie have taken Clarity, the new Claritas baby duckling, and his mum into their care. They even have a Duck Cam so we can have a look at what the two are getting up to. Craig and Julie rehabilitate waterfowl, seabirds and other breeds when required. They also played a key role in the Rena Oil Spill wildlife response team.
